“From Documentation to Revitalization with the Malays of Sri Lanka”
Abstract
This seminar presents a retrospective on a documentation project conducted in the Malay community of Sri Lanka between 2003 and 2009. I revisit the phases of engagement and the different challenges they presented, and reflect on the relationship between documentation and revitalization, and its complex impact on the community.
